My a6230n. It runs warm - 40 to 46 for basic surfing, ~50 for Guns of Icarus, 58 to 60 for Norton (yeah, Norton). That is a new Corsair CX430 at the top, the case is originally intended for a rear-exhaust-fan PSU but the CX430 has an intake fan on the top (that’s why it’s upside-down) and an unpowered heat vent out the rear.
Four slots below the PSU is my GPU, an XFX 8400 GS with a fan pointing up.
Below the XFX is the CPU fan and heatsink, which are stock, and to the rear of those is a rear-blowing case fan, also stock.
I have no fans on the inside of the side panel (which is removed, obviously), and none on the front.
I think the primary cause of heat is that there’s no fresh air coming in across the CPU. The CPU may also need a new heatsink, which I’m not real keen on replacing because it’s above my comfort level.
My thoughts:
(a) Turn around the rear fan to take in air.
(b) Keep the rear fan but add one to the side panel to blow in air.
(c) Add a slot fan above the GPU to direct some of that heat away from the PSU.
(d) Add some kind of intake in the front to send air across the entire unit.
